Message From Secretary
Many of us are aware that ‘Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Social Work, Nagpur (DAISW)’ was founded in 1995 and Today it is one of the leading academic institutions of this region having Social Work (Science) faculty up to Post Graduate level. In these 21 years, DAISW has delivered many meritorious students to the society who are now driving the key positions in the Social Structure and ultimately causing the betterment of the society. Today the DAISW Family is proud entity for all of us.
However let me take you in the year 1995 when our proud organization was born. In 1995, a group of Public Spirited and Social Activist people of ‘Public Welfare Society (PWS)‘ had observed that the large portion of underprivileged population was still struggling to gain the Basic Education. ‘Education Disparity’ was prevailing. Society’s Privileged people were getting better education while those underprivileged were left aside. It was the time when PWS under the leadership of Mr. Bhupesh Thulkar took the mission to provide the access of Education to everyone and thus established ‘Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Social Work‘. DAISW is the product of tireless efforts of many selfless likeminded people for years. These selfless people’s effort created more selfless people and the chain continues. Mission continues.
But I see this chain is somehow weakening. Students nowadays study, get in good position and become Self Centric. Students should be aware of their responsibility to give their helping hand to the needy people. Thus in this edition, I appeal the students, alumni as well as Staff Members of DAISW to come forward, join hands and continue the chain more strongly.
Lastly I wish all the best to Students for their future..!! Educate, Agitate and Organize… !!
